CONVICTION WEEK 3 DAY 1

Read
Remember back in 2010 when a miraculous rescue plan was put into motion in the country of Chile? 33 men trapped underground nearly 70 days, until they were able to get someone down there to see the situation, and figure out how to get them out. And they did. Like those miners, when sin trapped us there would have been little hope for us. Fortunately, God had (and still does have) a rescue plan. Check it out:

“God chose us in Christ to be holy and blameless in God’s presence before the creation of the world. 5 God destined us to be his adopted children through Jesus Christ because of his love. This was according to his goodwill and plan 6 and to honor his glorious grace that he has given to us freely through the Son whom he loves. 7 We have been ransomed through his Son’s blood, and we have forgiveness for our failures based on his overflowing grace.” Ephesians 1:4-7 (COMMON ENGLISH BIBLE)

So, what’s the plan?

Who’s it for?

Who did God send down?

Request
Let’s pray:
God, thank-you for loving me so much.
Thank-you for planning and starting a rescue mission, and not giving up on it.
Thank-you that it’s for everyone, including me. Amen

Recite
God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die. 17God did not send his Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent him to save them! John 3:16&17 (COMMON ENGLISH BIBLE)
